The best interior designers around the world
I'd like to write about the most influential interior designers/architect every week and start with Frank Lloyd Wright(1867 – 1959) who was one of the best American architect, interior designer and writer. He designed more than 500 building and organic architecture was coined by him during 1920s and 1930s and it fully matured with the design of Graycliff, Fallingwater and Taliesin West which was Wright's winter home and studio complex in Scottsdale, AZ. It was his laboratory from 1937 to his death in 1959 and now is Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture.

Window Covering
Spring is in the air and it would be here in our house very shortly; so it’s time to get inspired by fresh flowers, fresh air and lots of sunshine. We will be experiencing more and more sunlight through our windows every day; therefore, it’s better to think ahead about protecting our furniture and area rugs from color fading.
Do our windows and window coverings protect our furniture? Will they look as attractive as they should?
There are two types of window coverings:
- Soft covering: it’s essentially made of fabrics. Draperies, curtains, valances are examples of soft covering;
- Hard covering: it’s usually mounted to protect rooms against UV rays and heat of sun; it can be mounted either inside or outside of window frames.
- Keep the following factors in your mind:
- The style of your room(traditional, country, modern or eclectic)
- The purpose of the room and what activities can be used there
- Are there concerns about privacy or UV protection?
- Room’s wall color
- The size and type of the window
- Budget
- Maintenance
Last but not the least, don’t forget about trims and hardware for more decorative aspects.
